Senior Product Designer
Superagent AI is building the AI-native distribution layer for insurance - a $7T industry still run on manual workflows and legacy software. We're an early-stage, fast-moving team reimagining how insurance is sold, serviced, and supported, with AI at the core. Backed by top-tier VCs, we're an international team of exited founders, builders, and technologists.
Already trusted by 100+ agencies, the job now is to build the next version of the platform quickly and run it reliably as we continue to scale rapidly โ a real-time voice platform, an agent/skills layer, omnichannel messaging, and deep insurance system integrations.
Why this role exists
We're hiring our first senior product designer. Until now, product and design have lived largely in the founder's head. The founder is a deeply product-minded CTO/CPO with strong taste and hundreds of hours with customers - you'll be the craft and execution partner who turns that direction into a beautifully designed, simple, shippable product.
You're joining at the moment design becomes a competitive weapon: we have product-market fit and real usage, and the next leg of growth depends on making a sophisticated AI product feel effortless. You'll own the design end-to-end, set the bar for craft, and build the design foundation (system, patterns, process) from scratch.
What you'll own
- End-to-end product design - from problem and flows through interaction, high-craft UI, and prototypes, to engineering handoff. You own the experience, not just the screens.
- Making complexity feel simple. Our core challenge: agent configuration, campaign building, integration setup, and call review are inherently complex. Your job is to make them feel obvious - especially first-run setup and onboarding.
- Designing for AI. This is an AI voice-agent product. You'll design how users configure, trust, monitor, and correct AI behavior - surfacing what the agent is doing, handling non-deterministic output, and turning call data into clarity.
- The design foundation. Establish and grow our design system, patterns, and a lightweight, fast design process. You're the first designer - you set the standard.
- Close partnership with the founder (product direction), and engineers (you'll work directly with them to ship, not toss mockups over a wall).
About you (must-haves)
- 5+ years designing B2B / SaaS products, with a portfolio that shows high craft and clear thinking - not just pretty screens, but hard problems made simple.
- You make complex, workflow- or data-heavy products feel simple. Configuration UIs, dashboards, admin tools, builders - you've tamed real complexity.
- Strong end-to-end craft: interaction design and visual design, prototyping, and a track record of shipping with engineers (Figma fluency expected).
- Systems thinking - you build and maintain design systems and reusable patterns, not one-off screens.
- Comfortable in 0โ1 ambiguity and operating as the only/first designer โ self-directed, opinionated, low-ego.
- Thrives with a product-opinionated founder. The CTO/CPO has strong product taste and will be deeply involved. The right person treats that as a creative partnership, not a constraint.
- Customer-driven - you want to talk to real users and design from evidence, not assumptions.
- Fluency with modern AI design tooling (e.g. AI-assisted prototyping). Claude Code or Codex is your #1 used tool, and you're ready to produce working prototypes.
Bonus
- Experience designing AI / agent / conversational products (voice especially).
- Front-end literacy (React/Tailwind) โ comfortable getting close to the implementation.
- Motion/interaction polish and data-visualization chops.
- Insurance, fintech, or another regulated/complex domain.
How we work
Fast-moving distributed team with an AI-native engineering culture. We're closer to our customers than most competitors - that's our edge, and it drives how we prioritize. We ship things that work for real agencies, not demos.
At least 4h overlap with PST is required for this position.
To apply
Send your portfolio (with 1โ2 case studies showing how you simplified something genuinely complex) and a note on a product you think is beautifully designed and why.
