Full-Stack Engineer (Python/React, AI-First) for US Online Media

We are looking for a Middle+/Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong Python and React experience to join the Insurance product team of a US online media and consumer advisory company.
 

This role requires a highly capable, well-rounded engineer who can work across the full stack, own features end-to-end, and help build scalable, user-facing digital products for a large consumer audience.
 

An AI-first approach is a key focus for this position. We are looking for an engineer who actively uses modern AI-first coding agents in daily engineering workflows to improve development speed, code quality, and product delivery.
 

The ideal candidate combines strong backend engineering skills, solid frontend experience, product-oriented thinking, good communication skills, and a forward-thinking approach to engineering and collaboration.
 

This is a fully remote position; however, candidates should be comfortable working with a schedule that allows for regular overlap until approximately 8–9 PM Ukraine time.

About the Project:

The project is focused on the development and improvement of insurance-related digital products used by consumers to research, compare, and evaluate insurance options.

The Insurance team builds and maintains consumer-facing web products and services with a focus on usability, scalability, performance, and data-driven decision-making.

Engineers work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering team members to deliver new features, improve user experiences, and support scalable, high-traffic applications.
 

Requirements:

- 6+ years of professional software development experience

- Strong full-stack development experience

- Strong backend development experience with Python

- Strong frontend development experience with React

- Hands-on experience using AI-first coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar in daily engineering workflows

- Experience designing and building scalable production systems

- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design

- Experience working with relational databases

- Experience with API-driven architectures and integrations

- Experience with cloud platforms and modern deployment practices

- Ability to own features from requirements through deployment

- Strong problem-solving skills and product-oriented thinking

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
 

Will be a plus:

- Experience with TypeScript 

- Experience with Node.js 

- Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications or internal workflows

- Familiarity with LLM-based solutions and AI-powered user experiences

- Experience working in Agile product teams

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

- Experience mentoring junior or mid-level engineers

- Experience in insurance, financial services, media, or highly regulated industries 

- Experience working on high-traffic consumer-facing digital products 

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications and services

- Build scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions

- Own features throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment

- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders

- Participate in architecture, system design, and technical decision-making

- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve production systems

- Work with relational databases and API-driven architectures

- Leverage AI-first coding agents and workflows to improve engineering efficiency and delivery quality

- Contribute to engineering best practices, team standards, code quality, and technical maturity

- Help create mature, scalable, and user-focused product experiences

- Actively participate in Agile team collaboration, planning, and delivery processes
