Product Designer
We are This Is Software โ a software consulting company with teams in Ukraine and the EU. We build custom digital products for clients across the US, UK, and the Middle East, helping businesses turn ideas into scalable software used by real teams and customers.
We're looking for a Product Designer to join us on a long-term, part-time basis (10โ15 hours per week).
You'll start by working on a growing ecosystem of e-commerce products for a client from the Middle East. The first product is a marketplace for the event industry that is already actively developed by our team. Over time, you'll also contribute to several adjacent products that are gradually becoming part of a larger platform.
This is not a simple storefront, a landing page, or a one-page marketing website. It's a custom-built product with complex business logic, multiple user roles, transactional flows, and all the challenges that come with designing a modern marketplace platform.
You'll work as part of our team while collaborating directly with the client โ discussing requirements, presenting solutions, challenging assumptions, and helping shape product decisions. We're looking for someone who sees themselves as a product partner, not just a task executor.
What you'll do
- Design user experiences for web and mobile applications from discovery to delivery.
- Transform business requirements into intuitive user flows and interfaces.
- Create prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and product stakeholders.
- Contribute to and evolve design systems to ensure consistency across products.
- Think beyond individual screens and help shape product direction.
Whom we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer working on digital products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating work on e-commerce, marketplace or other complex transactional products.
- Ability to clearly explain your design process, product thinking, and decision-making โ not just showcase polished visuals.
- Advanced Figma skills, including Auto Layout, Components, Variables, Design Systems, and developer handoff best practices.
- Experience designing responsive experiences across desktop and mobile devices.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, user behaviour, information architecture, and interaction design.
- English level B2+ with the ability to communicate directly with clients during meetings and written discussions.
- Availability for 10โ15 hours per week with reasonable overlap with European working hours.
Nice to have
- Experience designing marketplaces or multi-sided platforms.
- Experience working with clients or users from the Middle East region.
- Familiarity with multilingual products and RTL interfaces.
What we offer
- Long-term collaboration with a stable flow of product work.
- Direct influence on product decisions rather than pixel-pushing execution.
- Close collaboration with founders, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- Flexible schedule with fully remote work.
- Opportunity to contribute to multiple products within the same ecosystem and grow alongside them.
Looking forward to meeting with you!
