Project manager (Discovery/MVP with AI)

About the project:

We are looking for a highly strategic and tech-savvy Project Manager specializing in Product Discovery and AI-driven MVPs to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex client business problems and cutting-edge GenAI/AI solutions. You will lead cross-functional teams through the crucial initial phases of the product lifecycle — transforming ambiguous ideas into validated, technical AI prototypes and production-ready MVPs.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, thrives in the pre-sales/discovery phase, and possesses a deep curiosity for leveraging AI to drive business value.

A new team member will be in charge of:

• Drive Strategic AI Initiatives: Actively advocate for and embed AI capabilities into project strategies to maximize outcomes, maximize ROI, and unlock new business value for clients.
• Drive AI Product Discovery: Partner with clients to uncover business pain points and define how AI/Machine Learning can realistically solve them. Lead scoping, requirement gathering, and definition of the MVP boundaries.
• Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering: Act as the primary technical PM during pre-sales, conducting initial client consultations, brainstorming AI-driven solutions, and crafting compelling technical proposals and estimations.
• Oversee Fast-Paced MVP Delivery: Lead cross-functional teams (AI engineers, UI/UX designers, developers) to build, test, and ship high-quality MVPs and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) rapidly.
• Technical Feasibility & Risk Assessment: Collaborate closely with AI architects to evaluate data readiness, compliance, and technical feasibility of proposed AI models before development begins.
• Manage Client Expectations: Act as the strategic point of contact for clients, managing the delicate balance of high expectations surrounding AI against realistic timelines and technology constraints.
• Agile Delivery & Iteration: Define project scope, prioritize the MVP backlog based on value/effort, and manage rapid feedback loops to pivot or scale the product based on initial user/client testing.
• Risk & Cost Management: Proactively identify project risks (e.g., data quality issues, scope creep, API dependencies) and implement mitigation strategies to keep MVP development lean and cost-effective.

Does this relate to you?

• 5+ years of experience in Project Management, with a proven track record of shifting projects from the discovery phase to MVP launch (preferably in an IT agency, studio, or outsource environment).
• Hands-on experience working with AI tools, LLMs, and framework ecosystems (e.g., OpenAI API, Claude, LangChain, vLLM, or Hugging Face) to build prototypes, automate workflows, or optimize delivery. You aren't just reading about AI — you actively use it.
• Previous hands-on experience in a technical role (Software Engineer, Data/QA Engineer, or Technical Analyst) is a must. You should be comfortable discussing LLM architectures, APIs, and data pipelines with engineers.
• A strong understanding of modern AI capabilities, limitations, and prompt engineering concepts to evaluate technical feasibility during early scoping.
• Demonstrated experience running discovery workshops, conducting client consultations, and crafting technical/commercial proposals for new initiatives.
• Mastery of frameworks tailored for rapid iteration and uncertainty (Lean Startup, Design Sprints, Agile/Scrum, Kanban).
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into plain business value for non-technical clients.
• Proven ability to manage multiple rapid-fire discovery tracks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Upper-Intermediate or Advanced English (both written and spoken) for leading client workshops.
