Technical Team Lead (ATE)
We are looking for a Technical Team Lead (ATE) to lead the development of automated test systems and drive the technical strategy of product testing in a manufacturing environment.
This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibility. You will define the architecture of test solutions, make key engineering decisions, and grow a team of engineers. Your scope will cover the full testing lifecycle โ from design analysis to manufacturing support and process optimization.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ATE in production, understands DFT principles, and can build scalable and efficient test solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Technical Strategy & Architecture
- Define test strategy (ICT / FCT / EOL) and ATE architecture
- Establish approaches for test coverage, fault isolation, and DFT
- Define engineering standards and best practices
2. Leadership & Team
- Lead and develop a team of test engineers
- Provide mentoring, design reviews, and technical guidance
- Make engineering decisions and trade-offs
3. Test Development
- Oversee development of test systems (fixtures, software, data infrastructure)
- Conduct DFT reviews with hardware teams
- Ensure production readiness of test solutions
4. Manufacturing & Optimization
- Support NPI โ mass production transition
- Collaborate with manufacturing and contract manufacturers
- Optimize test time, yield, and line efficiency
- Lead root cause analysis
5. Data & Performance
- Analyze test data (yield, failure trends)
- Define KPIs and drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
1. Experience
- 5+ years in test engineering (PCBA / manufacturing / product)
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience
- Hands-on experience with ATE in production
2. ATE & Test Systems
- ICT / FCT / EOL testing
- Test fixtures and test infrastructure
- Test coverage, fault isolation, DFT
3. Manufacturing
- NPI โ mass production
- Yield management, test optimization, line balancing
- Experience working with contract manufacturers
4. Embedded Systems
- Interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet
- Firmware flashing (secure flashing is a plus)
- Understanding of bootloaders and production firmware flows
5. Data & Metrics
- Yield analysis, failure Pareto
- KPI definition, SPC, GR&R
