Senior Technical Product Partner
YGO.ai is a VC-funded AI tourism platform. We're looking for a Senior Technical Product Partner to support our small product engineering pods across our AI travel assistant, content enrichment system and partner integrations.
This is a supportive senior product role, not a head of product or a pod lead. You'll partner with two to three engineering pods, each of which has its own lead, on market, B2B client, UX and commercial product work. You need to be technically experienced enough to discuss prompts, evals, model behaviour and architecture with engineers as peers, and willing to build little things on your own.
What you'll do
- Sit alongside two to three pods as their senior product partner, advising on quality, roadmap and behaviour while the pod leads own delivery
- Run market and competitor analysis across AI travel, AI assistants and supplier platforms, and feed it into roadmap and pricing
- Own the commercial and pricing input on client deals, working with the founders so contracts and scope reflect what we actually build
- Lead UX research and design oversight across products, raising the bar on internal tooling and customer-facing interfaces
- Review AI assistant prompts and interactions regularly, working with engineers on evals and quality benchmarks
- Build dashboards and reporting that turn AI performance into a story stakeholders can read
Join client and supplier calls when product, pricing or commercial discussions are on the table
Our stack
An AI travel assistant and a content enrichment system on a Go monorepo (3+ services), PostgreSQL, Redis, PaaS-managed containers, Jaeger tracing, BetterStack. Claude Code is used across the team.
You must have
- An engineering background built through hands-on experience
- Production development experience within the last 5 years, ideally with Claude Code or an equivalent agentic tool in the last 12 months
- 3+ years co-leading or leading product at an enterprise B2B or SaaS company, with both commercial and product responsibility
- A path from engineer into product, not a career project or scrum role
- Hands-on experience with AI products in production: prompts, evals, harnesses, hallucination handling, model selection
- Strong technical depth: you can read code, follow an architecture diagram and push back on engineers without overriding them
- Experience with internal admin tooling and B2B interfaces, not only consumer products
- Excellent written and spoken English
Availability full-time within European or African time zones (ยฑ3 hours from CET)
Nice to have
Travel industry experience, German, past work on AI assistants or recommender systems, and experience setting up eval frameworks and quality dashboards from scratch.
Probably not the right role if
- Your background is mainly project management, Scrum or engineering management
- You've never worked on a product that uses LLMs in production
- You've never owned commercial or pricing responsibility
- You expect to lead a pod or have engineers report to you
- You expect detailed specs handed to you before you start
- You're outside European or African time zones
