Key Responsibilities
Core Banking Development
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze and prioritize initiatives, assessing their technical and financial feasibility.
- Participate in the design and maintenance of architectural solutions for integrating the Core Banking platform with other banking IT systems and products.
- Manage development and integration activities:
- Liaise with the vendor responsible for Core Banking system development, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project deliverables, and timelines.
- Coordinate the integration of the Core Banking platform with the bank’s internal systems.
- Organize and oversee Core Banking testing processes, including functional, performance, and integration testing.
- Manage the development of internal satellite systems and services integrated with the Core Banking platform.
Core Banking Operations & Support
Support and Maintenance
- Ensure the stable and uninterrupted operation of the Core Banking platform and related systems in accordance with established SLAs.
- Manage incidents and minimize system downtime.
Vendor Management
- Monitor vendor compliance with SLA requirements and support agreements.
- Coordinate the implementation of regular system updates, patches, and fixes provided by the vendor.
Monitoring and Optimization
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the performance, availability, and stability of the Core Banking platform.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and optimization initiatives.
- Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of DevOps engineering practices, including CI/CD process automation.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in IT, including 3–5 years in leadership or managerial roles.
- Hands-on experience with Core Banking systems (knowledge of B2 Core Banking is considered a strong advantage).
- Proven experience managing system development and integration projects.
Leadership & Management Skills
- Experience leading development and support teams, as well as managing relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Solid understanding of ITIL principles and DevOps practices.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to oversee contractual compliance and vendor performance.
Analytical Skills
- Ability to evaluate business initiatives and assess their impact on system architecture and operational processes.
- Experience implementing monitoring solutions and driving system performance improvements.
