Oracle DBA (IRC297125)

Job Description

• Expert knowledge as an Oracle DBA, qualification according to Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional or comparable, current project experience > 5 years
• Very good knowledge of setting up RACs (on ODA) as well as monitoring and optimizing applications that run on the RAC, experience > 5 years
• Very good knowledge of the administration and configuration of Oracle Database Appliances in the HA variant (ODA X8-HA, ODA X7-HA or ODA X5-HA), current project experience > 3 years
• Good knowledge of Oracle Dataguard, experience > 2 years
• Advanced Linux knowledge (shell, file management, processes and devices, resource monitoring, networks)

Optional requirements:

• Good knowledge of installing and configuring Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Good knowledge of database monitoring with Icinga 2 or Nagios
• Good knowledge of setting up and running RACs in VMs
   

Job Responsibilities

• This profile focuses entirely on the data tier, the physical infrastructure, and the health of the Oracle Database running on your Exadata server.
  Core Responsibilities:  
• Managing database storage, performance tuning (indexing, execution plans), and Exadata-specific features (Smart Scans, Hybrid Columnar Compression).
• Ensuring data security, user access control at the schema level, and data encryption.
• Handling backup, recovery, patching, and high availability (Oracle RAC/Data Guard).
  Scope in your stack: 
• They control the Exadata container/pluggable databases (CDBs/PDBs) where your APEX applications and the OAS
• Repository Creation Utility (RCU) schemas live.
