A US-based PropTech/FinTech company providing automation-driven accounting services for property management companies.
 

About the Project

The team is building an internal accounting operations platform. The current top priority is completing AP Automation (Accounts Payable Automation) – an end-to-end automation of the entire incoming invoice lifecycle, from receipt to payment, with minimal manual input from the accounting team. The workflow involves OCR, accounting rules, automation, and human review flows.

Project duration: 9 months with the potential for extension.
 

The Team: 2 Senior Go Engineers + Project Manager + client's product team.
 

Your Responsibilities

– Maintain and improve the existing Go-based platform

– Complete the AP Automation functionality

– Investigate and take ownership of an existing codebase (brownfield project)

– Participate in knowledge transfer sessions from the current team

– Fix bugs and improve overall system reliability

– Support production incidents when necessary

– Review and improve existing architecture

– Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders

– Participate in code reviews and engineering planning

– Document technical decisions and platform knowledge
 

Must Have

Technical skills:

– Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang)

– Experience supporting and maintaining production systems

– Experience working with inherited codebases (brownfield projects)

– Experience with business process automation platforms

– Ability to design scalable backend systems

– REST APIs, SQL databases, Git, cloud infrastructure

Strong preference for candidates who have:

– Built workflow automation systems

– Worked with document processing or OCR

– Experience in accounting, finance, ERP, invoice processing, or operational automation

Soft skills:

– Strong sense of ownership and accountability

– Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

– Excellent communication skills

– Ability to challenge technical decisions constructively

– Strong problem-solving mindset

English: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) 

Nice to Have

OCR, invoice processing, AP automation, accounting software, FinTech/PropTech background, AI/LLM integrations, event-driven architectures, microservices, workflow engines, process mining.
