Why This Role

You'll build systems that move real money and digital assets — exchanges, payment rails, crypto processing, and OTC desks — where every decision touches security, latency, and correctness. The

problems are real: real adversaries, real settlement guarantees, real users who can't afford downtime. If you want ownership over production fintech infrastructure rather than another CRUD app, this is that.

You'll join a small team shipping to production frequently, owning features end-to-end across our backend services, customer-facing products, and internal back-office tools.
 

Tech Stack

- Backend: Python 3.12, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy + Alembic, Gunicorn/Uvicorn

- Frontend: React 18 + TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind + shadcn/ui, React Query

- Back-office: React 18 + TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind + shadcn/ui

Databases: PostgreSQL 17 + MongoDB
 

What You'll Do

- Own full-stack features from spec through deployment, monitoring, and iteration

- Build and maintain FastAPI services handling payments, exchange, and crypto-processing flows

- Develop responsive interfaces for both customer-facing products and internal back-office tools

- Model and optimize data across PostgreSQL and MongoDB; manage migrations with Alembic

- Integrate third-party payment, banking, and crypto APIs

- Bake security and compliance into everything — you'll be trusted with money-handling code, often without a dedicated QA safety net
 

Must Have

- 5+ years full-stack experience, with at least 3 building production backend services

- Strong command of Python / FastAPI and React + TypeScript

- Solid experience with PostgreSQL (relational modeling, query optimization)

- Advanced, daily use of AI tools in your workflow — you use assistants like Claude, Copilot, or

- Cursor to scaffold, refactor, and review code, and you can judge when to trust their output and when

to discard it

- Genuine independence — you take ownership, make sound calls, and drive work forward with minimal oversight (essential on a remote, fast-moving team)
 

Bonus

- Experience with MongoDB and the wider frontend stack (Vite, shadcn/ui, React Query)

- Fintech background — payments, banking, PSP, or exchanges

- Crypto / digital assets — exchanges, processing, custody, or OTC (a strong extra plus)
