Functional QA Engineer

We’re looking for someone who thinks like an analyst and works like a QA engineer.

This role sits at the intersection of QA, functional consulting, and analysis. You’ll work closely with developers, business analysts, and clients, navigating complex financial systems, catching issues early, and communicating them clearly.

The kind of person who thrives here looks broadly, notices things beyond the immediate task, and brings perspective - not just bug reports. Professional maturity, sound judgment, and genuine curiosity about how systems work matter as much as your QA background.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of QA experience in commercial projects
• Strong analytical mindset: you break down problems, not just report them
• Ability to deeply understand a system and explain its behavior to others
• Experience or strong interest in financial products, banking, or regulated industries
• Solid knowledge of testing theory and documentation practices
• Strong verbal and written ENG and RUS communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal direction

Responsibilities

☰ Investigate & describe
• Identify, reproduce, and clearly document problems in complex business workflows
• Analyze root causes - describe the issue precisely, not just the symptom
• Ask the right questions to surface hidden logic gaps

◈ Understand the system
• Deeply learn the product and its business logic
• Serve as a go-to person for system behavior questions
• Translate client needs into clear functional specifications

⚙ Test & validate
• Functional, regression, and exploratory testing for web and mobile
• UAT, system testing, and data migration testing
• Maintain test plans, test cases, and test logs

⊹ Collaborate
• Work with developers, Analysts and DevOps on defect resolution
• Provide QA advisory to clients within your area
• Support release planning and effort estimation

Would be a plus

· Finance / Fintech background · Functional consulting experience · Jira · Confluence · Postman · Java / XMLor · ISTQB certification
