Data Engineer (GCP)

About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, analytically mindedcontractor to support our accounting team with workpaper modernization and dataquery work. This is a hands-on, execution-focused engagement suited for someonewho moves fast, works independently, and takes ownership.

Technical Requirements

 *   Advanced Excel proficiency — pivot tables, dynamic arrays, Power Query, and building structured reporting tools for high-volume datasets
 *   Advanced SQL skills — complex queries, stored procedures, window/analytical functions, and query optimization
 *   Hands-on experience with dbt, Google BigQuery, and Airflow
 *   4–6 years of hands-on experience analyzing and engineering large datasets in a business or finance context
 *   Demonstrated ability to pick up unfamiliar tools and systems quickly

 *   Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deliverables
 *   Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
 *   Self-starter who operates well with minimal oversight
 *   Collaborative — comfortable interfacing with accounting and operations teammates
