Senior Systems Analyst

Our partners are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for deconstructing the API ecosystems of global payment providers. You will dive deep into complex technical documentation, analyzing provider infrastructure to pinpoint the exact endpoints required to build robust, scalable logic and their application to real time payments.

Your mission is to architect the end-to-end flow of every transaction, transforming dense provider specs into a functional technical reality. You will own the entire integration lifecycle—navigating the pipeline from the initial technical request through to final operational testing and delivery.

As the technical expert, you will continuously validate customer requirements against provider capabilities, demonstrating viable flows and managing the evolution of our integrations as provider APIs and schemas evolve.

📋 Tasks Description

• System Analysis: Translate complex customer requests into functional designs, determining if payment providers technology to ensure their infrastructure supports our business requirements.
• API Auditing & Mapping: Deep-dive into supplier API documentation to evaluate every endpoint, identifying which are essential for daily business operations and which are redundant.
• Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive "Integration Blueprints" and Requirement Documents that specify exactly how a solution works, including the specific endpoints to be used.
• Backlog management: Create detailed PRDs to the technical team defining the end-to-end payment experience. You will oversee the lifecycle of these documents—from defining API possibilities and field-level validations to ensuring the technical team correctly interprets and implements endpoints.
• Quality Assurance: Lead the testing and validation phase alongside the Operations team to ensure products are fully functional before going live.

🛠 Required Skills

• API Management & Testing: Proficiency with tools like Postman or Insomnia to test provider endpoints and Swagger/OpenAPI to deconstruct technical documentation.
• System Architecture: Experience using Lucidchart, Miro, or Mermaid to create clear sequence diagrams and flowcharts for end-to-end payment logic.
• Data & Schemas: Deep comfort working with JSON and XML formats, specifically for mapping data fields between different systems.
• Payment Protocols: Familiarity with real-time payment notifications, including Webhooks and API callbacks.
• Documentation Tools: Expert at using Jira and Confluence (or similar) to manage backlogs and turn complex requirements into simple, actionable PRDs.
• Security Standards: A solid understanding of how to securely connect to providers using OAuth, JWT, or API Keys.
• Project Oversight: Ability to track integration milestones, manage delivery expectations, and coordinate smoothly between internal and external teams.

📍 Employment Conditions

• Monday to Thursday 11 to 20:00 and Fridays 11:00 to 16:30
• Position based in Barcelona or Remotely
