Senior Hardware engineer

ARX Robotics Ukraine is looking for an experienced test engineer to join a team shaping the future of autonomous systems for both defense and civilian applications. Our rapidly expanding company, specializing in autonomous unmanned systems and sensors, is looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to drive innovation in our growing Kyiv team. In this role, you will lead the development and integration of cutting-edge electrical systems for our autonomous robots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development: define of requirements, improvement, and integration of electrical and mechanical systems for autonomous ground platforms.
• Component selection: evaluate, select, and qualify components and suppliers to meet system requirements.
• Team collaboration: work closely with mechanical, software and customer success teams to ensure fast and efficient implementation of solutions that meet user requirements.
• Documentation: create and maintain technical documentation related to ongoing processes and projects.
• Users technical support: provide technical support, troubleshooting for robotic systems both in field conditions and remotely.
• User training: take part in user training and ongoing education on UGV operation.
• Support and promotion of initiatives as for improvement of technical solutions, as well as technical participation in testing and validation of new solutions.

Qualifications:

• Technical education in mechatronics, electronics, mechanics, or related fields. Background in robotics will be a plus.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills proven by working experience.
• Strong experience in technical support and coordination of large-scale projects, as well as managing multiple technical projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of integration and configuration of industrial protocols and network interfaces (including CAN, Ethernet, serial, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and others).
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical design will be a plus (EPLAN, Autocad Inventor).
• Willingness to travel for business trips across Ukraine.
• Both driver’s license and driving experience on a mechanical gearbox are mandatory.
• English communication skills — fluent.
