About the Role


 

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Lead / Team Lead System Administrator to take ownership of the company’s entire infrastructure landscape, ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of mission-critical fintech services.


 

This is a leadership role combining deep hands-on technical expertise with team management responsibilities.


 

Requirements


 

5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Lead, DevOps Engineer, or System Administrator

Proven experience managing infrastructure teams (5–15+ engineers) and building 24/7 support processes

Strong Linux administration expertise (Ubuntu/Debian), including kernel, I/O, networking, and advanced troubleshooting

Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere (clusters, HA, DRS, storage, networking)

Experience designing and operating bare-metal infrastructure and private on-premise cloud environments

Experience supporting high-load, highly available production systems

Strong expertise with Nginx (reverse proxy, rate limiting, geo-routing, ACLs, caching)

Deep understanding of PostgreSQL (replication, failover, performance tuning, backup strategies)

Experience with Redis and RabbitMQ

Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and/or Bitbucket Pipelines

Automation experience using Ansible, Bash, and Python

Experience building monitoring and observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, and alerting systems

Strong networking knowledge: VLANs, LACP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and network segmentation

Experience with Cloudflare services (WAF, Zero Trust, CDN, rate limiting)

Experience implementing Zero Trust and secure VPN access models

Strong experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)

Practical experience deploying and maintaining RDS (Remote Desktop Services) environments

Experience with Active Directory administration

Experience balancing workloads across RDS hosts

Ability to effectively manage critical incidents, including production outages and data loss risks

Strong analytical mindset and result-oriented approach


 

Responsibilities


 

Design, develop, and manage the company’s entire infrastructure ecosystem (on-premise and partially cloud-based)

Lead and mentor a team of System Administrators and DevOps Engineers (L1–L3)

Organize and maintain 24/7 support operations, including SLA management, on-call schedules, and escalation processes

Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical fintech platforms and services

Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, including failover, replication, and backup data centers

Maintain the stability and performance of VMware clusters and virtualized infrastructure

Build and manage backup and recovery systems, including ransomware protection strategies

Continuously optimize system performance across compute, storage, networking, and databases

Develop and improve CI/CD processes for both infrastructure and backend services

Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions

Establish and enforce infrastructure security policies, access controls, segmentation, and Zero Trust architecture

Manage network infrastructure, including VLANs, VPNs, load balancing, and traffic isolation

Collaborate closely with development teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment efficiency

Maintain infrastructure documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards
