Marketing Generalist - Consumer Apps

We’re looking for our first dedicated marketing person: hands-on, generalist, willing to learn fast. You’d be working directly with the founder (one person, no committee, no politics), running day-to-day marketing execution across our products (we’re shipping consumer apps on iOS and MacOS)

This is a full-time, remote role (35–40 hrs/week). Initial 3-month engagement with strong intent to extend if it’s working. Could grow into a Marketing Lead role as the portfolio scales.

What you’d actually do:
Your time will shift between our products based on what’s live, what’s launching, and what needs the most attention. Expect 2–4 products active in your queue at any time. Across them:

- Basic SMM. Run TikTok, Instagram accounts for our apps. Mostly base for launching ads and influencers outreach. We give you the playbook.
- Creator outreach. Find influencers of small and medium size (1K–10K, 10K-100K followers) in each product’s niche. Reach out, send brief, pay them, collect content, track results. Markets vary — often US, Europe, Brazil, Japan.
- Community participation. Genuine presence in the Reddit / Discord / Telegram communities relevant to each product. Help people, build credibility, mention the app only when it actually helps the conversation. We do NOT spam.
- Newsletter sponsorships . Find small targeted newsletters per product, negotiate small ads.
- Reporting & systems. Weekly metrics sheet across all products (downloads, ratings, install sources, MRR). Weekly Friday written report across all projects.

Who you are:
Ambitious junior or self-taught marketer. The role demands real ownership. You’ll get a budget, a playbook, and weekly priorities — then you decide what to ship and when. We don’t want someone who needs daily approval to do the next obvious thing.

Required:
- Strong written English
- Active TikTok user — you get how it works in 2026
- Comfortable on Pinterest, Reddit, Instagram at user level
- Comfortable juggling 2–4 different products with different audiences and brand voices, without mixing them up
- Spreadsheets (Google Sheets), comfortable in Notion or similar
- Self-directed: weekly plan, ship, iterate, raise blockers early
- Honest about what works and what doesn’t

Would be a plus:
- Efficient with AI
- Personal interest in consumer tech and design
- Basic Canva or Figma
- Previous experience juggling multiple small clients or projects in parallel
- Familiarity with App Store Connect or app analytics tools

Not required:
- A marketing degree
- Years of experience
- Agency background
- Knowing “ASO” or “CAC” — we’ll teach what you need

How we work:
- Async-first. Daily Slack/ check-in, weekly call.
- Weekly Friday written update across all projects.
