Senior Technical Account Manager

dNovo Group is a Toronto-based digital marketing agency operating since 2011. We work with clients in the legal, medical, and construction industries, delivering a full 360-degree digital marketing approach.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Account Manager who can lead client relationships, own SEO strategy, oversee website launches, and act as the bridge between clients and our technical teams.

This is a senior client-facing role, not a pure support or traditional account management position. The ideal candidate combines strong account management skills with practical knowledge of SEO, website launches, WordPress, DNS, tracking, and common web-related issues.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Client Relationship Leadership

 

  • Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for assigned clients
  • Lead regular client meetings, strategy sessions, and performance reviews
  • Maintain consistent, proactive communication
  • Respond to inbound client inquiries within 2 business hours during EST business hours
  • Manage client expectations and resolve issues professionally
  • Build long-term trusted relationships
  • Ensure overall client satisfaction and retention

 

Strategy, Planning & Performance Ownership

 

  • Develop and oversee SEO strategies aligned with client business goals
  • Create clear digital marketing plans, including priorities, timelines, deliverables, KPIs, and recommended next steps
  • Communicate strategies effectively through meetings, reports, and ongoing client updates
  • Conduct advanced keyword research and content planning
  • Identify technical SEO opportunities and growth areas
  • Perform website audits and provide actionable recommendations
  • Monitor rankings, traffic, leads, and engagement metrics
  • Deliver clear and insightful performance reports
  • Ensure implementation quality across internal teams

 

Website Launch & Web Project Support

 

  • Oversee website launches from kickoff through go-live
  • Act as the strategic bridge between clients and internal web project managers
  • Review websites before launch to ensure alignment with approved scope, brand standards, SEO requirements, and marketing goals
  • Coordinate launch timelines, communication, and stakeholder expectations
  • Support pre-launch and post-launch client communication
  • Assist with redirect planning, launch checklists, and post-launch monitoring

 

Technical Ownership

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for website-related technical questions and issues
  • Troubleshoot common website, hosting, DNS, SSL, email, and tracking issues
  • Coordinate with developers and technical teams to resolve issues efficiently
  • Verify analytics, conversion tracking, redirects, and technical SEO implementations
  • Assist clients during website migrations and launch-related technical activities
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients

 

Guidelines & Process Development

 

  • Create and maintain written guidelines for web project managers and development teams
  • Build SOPs and repeatable processes for website launches
  • Develop and maintain pre-launch checklists, QA procedures, redirect planning processes, DNS handoff procedures, and launch communication standards
  • Continuously improve internal workflows and client experience

 

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of experience as an Account Manager within a digital marketing agency
  • Proven experience managing digital marketing clients in an agency environment
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SEO strategy and execution
  • Deep understanding of keyword research, technical SEO, and content optimization
  • Experience managing or supporting website projects from kickoff to launch
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, DNS, SSL certificates, website hosting environments, email deliverability, and website launch processes
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot common website and tracking issues
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and related marketing tools
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar tools
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Consistent availability during EST business hours (9 AMโ€“6 PM EST).
