Data Steward

Our Enterprise Banking client is enhancing their Regulatory Reporting Value Stream and seeks a strategic Data Steward to own data governance, ensure compliance, and maintain the integrity of critical financial data. You will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data accuracy across products, systems, and processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Data Governance Leadership: Own and drive end-to-end data governance and quality frameworks; ensure full compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Architectural Stewardship: Maintain business glossaries, metadata repositories, and data quality rules; design robust data mappings and transformation logic.
• Requirements Engineering: Translate complex business/regulatory needs into clear functional specifications for engineering teams.
• Quality Remediation: Perform root cause analysis on data quality incidents and coordinate cross-functional remediation efforts.
• Strategic Insights: Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable data trends and business intelligence.

What We Need

• Expertise: Significant professional experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, or Technical Business Analysis.
• Domain Knowledge: Solid grounding in banking/financial services products and regulatory reporting workflows.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills for large-scale data analysis, profiling, and structural mapping; deep understanding of data warehousing principles.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to act as the "connective tissue" between business units and IT delivery teams.
• Tooling: Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and the MS Office suite.
