We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and work directly with startup engineering teams, CTOs, and account teams. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will operate and improve production infrastructure on AWS across multiple environments. As a Professional Services company, we work directly with customers in their environments, combining hands-on engineering with communication and decision-making.

The role is focused on solving real production problems, from debugging incidents and stabilizing systems to designing and implementing scalable infrastructure. This is not a purely internal or support role, it’s about taking ownership and making systems work under real conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of AWS environments across multiple projects, from troubleshooting production issues to designing scalable architectures
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines across different tech stacks and teams
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform, with CloudFormation or CDK
• Maintain and improve environments from development to production
• Handle infrastructure, networking, and performance issues end-to-end
• Work directly with client engineers and stakeholders, explain trade-offs, and drive technical decisions
• Apply security best practices and ensure system reliability
• Collaborate with DevOps Engineers, Solution Architects, and Account Managers to move projects from problem to production
• Operate in a fast-paced, project-based environment with multiple customer engagements

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps with strong focus on AWS in production environments, working across multiple projects or clients
• Experience working with Docker containers, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, etc.)
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Strong understanding of Linux systems and networking (DNS, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP)
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems and troubleshoot issues independently
• Ability to reason about trade-offs across reliability, cost, and speed
• Comfort operating in environments with ambiguity and changing priorities
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical decisions clearly to both engineers and stakeholders in English (spoken and written)

Nice to Have

• Experience working in consulting, outsourcing, or other multi-client environments is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to speed up scripting, infrastructure changes, and troubleshooting workflows
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or similar)
• Experience with managed LLM platforms (AWS Bedrock, SageMaker or others)
• Experience with AWS CDK or Pulumi
• Experience with TypeScript
