Main goal: Drive growth of the ASO channel and improve monetization for Luminar by systematically testing new ideas, analyzing results, and implementing solutions that positively impact both organic installs and purchase conversion, with the goal of achieving 70% year-over-year growth in organic revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Perform keyword research and regularly update the semantic core for the App Store and Google Play, with a focus on non-brand queries.
- Optimize app page metadata (title, subtitle, keywords, description) in accordance with the approved ASO strategy.
- Analyze competitors’ pages and develop hypotheses to improve the app’s visibility and conversion rates.
- Plan, launch, and analyze A/B tests for screenshots, icons, previews, custom pages, and other app page elements.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop new custom page designs.
- Monitor key ASO metrics (keyword rankings, impressions, conversion rate, installs) and track changes after launching tests.
- Build a backlog of ASO hypotheses and participate in the regular process of testing and optimizing the app page.
- Analyze and improve conversion from install to purchase by testing paywalls and other monetization scenarios.
- Formulate hypotheses and run A/B tests for paywall messaging, pricing presentation, offers, trial positioning, and other elements that influence purchase conversion.
- Work with the product and creative teams to prepare and launch experiments that impact revenue.
- Identify growth opportunities at the intersection of acquisition and monetization and propose your own initiatives.
- Take ownership of a portion of the growth roadmap in the ASO and monetization areas.
Requirements:
- 1.5–2 years of experience in ASO. Hands-on experience optimizing App Store and Google Play pages, working with growth hypotheses, and conducting A/B tests.
- Competitive analysis. Ability to analyze competitor app pages, their keywords, positioning, and creative approaches to find new optimization ideas.
- Analytics and metrics. Understanding of key ASO metrics: keyword rankings, impressions, conversion rate, installs. Ability to analyze performance trends and draw basic actionable conclusions based on data.
- AI literacy. Proficiency with artificial intelligence tools (2 or more) to optimize marketing tasks, conduct in-depth research, and improve personal efficiency.
- ASO Tools. Basic experience or familiarity with ASO tools (e.g., AppTweak, Sensor Tower, App Radar) for analyzing keywords, rankings, and competitors.
- English. Intermediate / Upper-Intermediate level.
- Data Analysis. Proficiency in using spreadsheets (Google Sheets) for data analysis, maintaining a list of hypotheses, and preparing simple reports.
Nice to have:
- Proven experience improving conversion rates across the full funnel (Store → Install → Trial → Purchase), including documented impact on at least one stage (e.g. product page CVR, trial start rate, or subscription conversion).
- Experience working with mobile subscription apps and understanding of paywall optimization and pricing experiments.
- Hands-on experience with Apple Search Ads (ASA), including keyword structure, campaign optimization, and CPP/CSL usage for performance improvement.
- Experience with attribution and performance measurement across channels (basic understanding of how installs and revenue are attributed across SEO, ASA, organic, referral, etc.).
- Experience working with subscription monetization metrics (ARPU, LTV, retention)
