Middle Business Analyst
TODA Pay is an international fintech company operating in the digital payments and financial infrastructure space across multiple jurisdictions. We support high-growth payment operations with multi-currency transactions, crypto payments, and complex corporate structures.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join our Technical team to hold a strategic role at the intersection of business, product, and engineering. You will translate the needs of merchants, compliance, and risk management into clear specifications that enable the development team to build things right the first time.
Requirements
Experience
• 3+ years in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role
• Required: experience in fintech, payment systems, or banking
• Experience with payment processes: acquiring, processing, PSP/PayFac — preferred
• Participation in Agile/Scrum teams: grooming, planning, retrospectives
Technical Knowledge
• Proficiency in BPMN 2.0, UML (Use Case Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Activity Diagram)
• Understanding of the transaction lifecycle: auth → capture → settlement → reconciliation
• Knowledge of dispute resolution and chargeback processes (Visa / Mastercard rules)
• Experience with REST API documentation: reading, writing, testing via Postman / Swagger
• Basic understanding of PCI DSS scope, AML/KYC requirements in the context of payment systems
• Proficiency with tools: Confluence, Notion, Jira/Linear, Miro/Lucidchart

Responsibilities
Requirements & Documentation
• Gathering business requirements from stakeholders: commercial, risk, compliance, merchants
• Writing functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria (Definition of Done)
• Modeling business processes in BPMN 2.0 notation — AS-IS and TO-BE
• Maintaining and updating product documentation in Confluence / Notion
Payment Processes
• Describing and optimizing payment flows: authorization, clearing, settlement, refunds, chargebacks
• Analyzing and documenting transaction routing logic and waterfall strategies
• Gap analysis during platform consolidation and merchant migration
• Supporting integrations with acquirers and PSP providers via REST API / ISO 8583
Team Collaboration
• Active participation in grooming, sprint planning, UAT, and demos
• Close collaboration with Product Owner, developers, and QA
• Communication with compliance/risk on regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, AML/KYC)
• Preparing training materials for operations teams and merchants
Nice to have
• Understanding of high-risk market specifics and regulatory constraints
• Knowledge of financial messaging protocols (ISO 8583/ISO 20022)
• Hands-on experience describing and automating rolling reserves and dispute management processes
• Participation in consolidation or re-platforming projects in fintech
