Lead Frontend Salesforce Commerce Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Frontend Salesforce Commerce Cloud Engineer to join our team and lead the technical delivery of complex SFCC projects. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can drive architecture, implementation quality, and engineering excellence across storefront, headless, and composable commerce solutions. You will work on large-scale e-commerce platforms, migration initiatives, and integration-heavy environments while collaborating closely with clients, delivery teams, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and architecture across SFCC projects, including PWA Kit, Composable Storefront, headless, hybrid, and SFRA solutions
• Design and implement integrations using SCAPI, OCAPI, and third-party commerce services
• Drive technical solutioning for core e-commerce features and migration initiatives
• Participate in client-facing discussions and provide technical guidance
• Lead code reviews, define engineering standards, and mentor developers
• Collaborate with delivery teams on estimations, planning, and risk management

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud projects
• Deep frontend engineering expertise with React, Next.js, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, component architecture, performance optimization, and accessibility
• Experience with PWA Kit / Composable Storefront, headless and hybrid SFCC environments, and SFRA implementations
• Solid experience with SCAPI and OCAPI integrations
• Strong understanding of e-commerce fundamentals including catalog management, promotions, checkout flows, search, and order lifecycle
• Experience migrating platforms such as Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom commerce solutions
• Experience working with integration-heavy commerce ecosystems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders, providing technical leadership through expertise, ownership, and sound engineering judgment

Would be a plus

• Salesforce B2C Commerce certifications
• Experience with gated or member-based commerce experiences
• Experience integrating Avalara AvaTax, Stripe, PayPal, Google Pay, Segment, or GTM
• Previous experience in agency, consultancy, or multi-client environments
• Experience with technical estimation, feature mapping, and SOW support
