We are looking for a Senior Bank Partnership Specialist to own and grow relationships with banks and payment providers. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable in a negotiation room and in a technical scoping call: you will lead commercial discussions with banks, drive the integration of their payment products into our platform, and work hand in hand with the partnerships and sales teams to turn those connections into real business value. About the role
The Bank Partnership Specialist sits at the intersection of business development, payments, and sales. You will be the primary point of contact between our company and our banking and payment partners, responsible for sourcing new relationships, negotiating commercial and technical terms, and managing the full lifecycle of each partnership. A large part of the role is making payments actually work: coordinating the connection of banks and payment systems to our platform, aligning technical requirements between partners and our internal teams, and ensuring integrations launch smoothly and stay healthy. You will also partner closely with the sales department, equipping them with the payment capabilities, coverage, and partner context they need to win and retain customers. It is a high-ownership role with direct impact on revenue, payment coverage, and the company's standing with financial institutions.
You have
- 5+ years of experience in banking partnerships, payment provider relationships, fintech business development, or a closely related field
- A strong track record of negotiating and closing commercial agreements with banks, acquirers, or payment service providers
- Solid understanding of the payments ecosystem: card schemes, acquiring, payment gateways, settlement, PSPs, and related infrastructure
- Experience coordinating or managing payment integrations, including connecting banks or payment systems into a platform or product
- The ability to translate between commercial and technical stakeholders, and to scope integration requirements with partners and engineering teams
- Familiarity with payment regulation and compliance considerations (KYC/AML, PCI DSS, licensing) at a working level
- Experience collaborating with sales teams and enabling them with partner capabilities and go-to-market support
- Strong communication, relationship-management, and stakeholder-management skills
- A self-directed, ownership-driven approach, comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
What to do
- Identify, approach, and build relationships with banks and payment providers that expand payment coverage and capabilities
- Lead commercial negotiations with banking partners, covering pricing, terms, and partnership structure through to signed agreement
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding of new partners, from initial contact to a live, production integration
- Coordinate payment integrations: align technical requirements between partners and internal engineering, and drive the connection of banks and payment systems into our platform
- Serve as the ongoing point of contact for partner banks, monitoring performance, resolving issues, and growing each relationship over time
- Work closely with the sales department, providing payment capabilities, partner context, and support for customer deals
- Collaborate with the partnerships team to align on strategy, priorities, and the partner pipeline
- Track partnership performance and integration health, and report on coverage, status, and opportunities to stakeholders
- Stay current on payment industry trends, regulation, and competitor activity to inform partnership strategy
