Junior Project Manager

Launch Labs is an IT company focused on web and application development. We help clients turn product ideas into working solutions and support them throughout the development process. Our team has worked with well-known brands such as Nike and Rapid Replay(acquired by NBC).

We’re looking for a Jr. Project Manager  to join our growing Scorebird ecosystem team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is excited by the opportunity to contribute to multiple products within a fast-moving sports-tech platform.

You will serve as the operational lead for specific technical teams, focusing on turning product scope into delivered and tested software. The primary objective is to maintain a high level of organization within small development teams, ensuring that developers can focus exclusively on execution while the PM handles roadmapping, user story development, and sprint management. The Junior PM will provide varying levels of support across 3-4 projects (within one organization) with 2-3 developers on each project.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Sprint Management & Task Development

• Develop clear, estimable, and trackable user stories with defined Acceptance Criteria (AC) and Definition of Done (DOD).
• Ensure every sprint is fully scoped and estimated for all sub-teams
• Lead high-level planning to anticipate requirements at least 2-3 sprints in advance to minimize development friction.

2. Coordination & Support

• Act as a buffer and facilitator to ensure developers stay focused on technical delivery by removing blockers and clarifying requirements proactively.
• Coordinate between technical teams and other departments, specifically assisting with project management aspects for Sales and Marketing.
• Maintain transparent and proactive communication, avoiding passive or vague messaging when relaying priorities and deadlines.

3. Quality & Delivery

• Ensure features are broken down into shippable parts delivered on a consistent cycle.
• Devote time to creating and maintaining product documentation to support multiple developers working on parallel features.

Core Requirements:

• B2+, strong spoken and written English skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to raise issues early and constructively to manage delivery risks.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working with hardware and software
• Technical Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with projects utilizing Angular and TypeScript to effectively communicate with the development team.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Ensuring all tickets have documentation and acceptance criteria before moving into a sprint.
• All team members have their workloads planned ahead of time with properly scoped tasks.
• Issues are flagged proactively before they become delivery risks.
