Lead Researcher / Data Researcher / Prospect Researcher
Red Rocket Software is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Researcher to support our outbound sales and lead generation processes. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying potential clients, researching target companies and decision-makers, enriching prospect data, and building high-quality lead databases for Sales and Marketing teams.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working with large volumes of information and modern prospecting tools. The ideal candidate understands how to turn raw market data into structured, accurate, and actionable insights that directly support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct B2B market and prospect research to identify target accounts and relevant decision-makers
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve high-quality lead databases for outbound campaigns
- Research prospects through LinkedIn, company websites, Apollo, Crunchbase, Clutch, directories, and other platforms
- Segment and categorize leads by industry, company size, geography, technology stack, service focus, job title, funding stage, and other ICP criteria
- Verify, clean, and enrich company and contact data to ensure high accuracy and relevance
- Support SDR and Business Development teams with well-structured and targeted lead lists
- Maintain CRM hygiene and ensure data consistency across internal systems
- Analyze lead quality and optimize research methodologies based on campaign performance
- Identify new buyer intent signals, market opportunities, and prospecting approaches
- Monitor competitors, industry trends, and emerging lead generation tools
Collaborate closely with SDRs, Marketing, and Sales teams to improve outbound efficiency and targeting
Requirements
Must Have
- 0.5+ year of experience in data research, lead generation, prospecting, or similar roles
- Experience working with B2B lead databases and outbound research tools
- Strong proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Crunchbase, Clutch, and similar platforms
- Understanding of the IT outsourcing / outstaffing / software services market
- Experience working with CRM systems such as HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
- Analytical mindset and ability to assess lead quality and relevance
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- English level B1+ or higher
Ability to work independently and deliver structured, high-quality results
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with SaaS lead database building and enrichment
- Experience with Clay, Instantly, Phantombuster, or other automation tools
- Understanding of ICP development and outbound sales processes
- Ability to improve research workflows, tooling, and data collection logic
- Experience working with European or US B2B markets
Basic understanding of AI tools for research automation and data enrichment
