Senior BI Analyst / BI Developer

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior BI Analyst / BI Developer.

Responsibilities:

- Build, improve, and maintain BI reports and dashboards

- Support Power BI reporting development

- Work with existing reporting systems, including Cognos

- Gather and document business and reporting requirements

- Validate reports and data outputs

- Prepare routine and ad hoc reports for business users

- Work with internal data sources and support data analysis tasks

- Support ETL and Data Warehouse-related activities

- Communicate with business and technical stakeholders

Requirements:

- 5+ years of overall BI / reporting / analytics experience

- 2+ years of experience with SQL / MS SQL

- 2+ years of experience with Power BI

- Experience building dashboards, reports, and data visualizations

- Experience gathering requirements from business users

- Strong data validation and data quality skills

- Understanding of ETL and Data Warehousing concepts

- Strong communication skills

Nice to Have:

- IBM Cognos Analytics experience

- Cognos to Power BI migration or coexistence experience

- SQL Reporting Services / SSRS

- SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

- Insurance, fintech, or regulated industry experience

- Experience with structured data for AI/analytics initiatives
