Mid-Level Data Engineer — AI & HealthTech

About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer to help build and scale our in-house AI systems focused on the health and fitness industry. 

You will work closely with Senior ML engineers and backend developers to design data pipelines, optimize large datasets, and support machine learning infrastructure used across our platform.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving data challenges, thinks out of the box, and contributing to AI-driven products that impact real users.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Structure and optimize large health, fitness, and behavioral datasets
• Support AI/ML workflows and data preparation for model training
• Design efficient database schemas and data architectures
• Work with APIs, third-party integrations, and real-time data processing
• Monitor data quality, integrity, and performance
• Collaborate with engineering and AI teams on internal tooling and automation
• Improve infrastructure for analytics and AI deployment

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Python for data processing and automation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with data warehousing and pipeline tools
• Understanding of AI/ML data workflows is a strong advantage
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have (Not must)

• Experience working with healthcare, medical or fitness-related data
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, or LLM infrastructure
• Experience with Airflow, Kafka, Spark, or similar tools
• Exposure to analytics and BI platforms
