Head of Business Development (iGaming)
We are looking for a powerhouse Head of Business Development to lead our growth strategy and expand our footprint in the global iGaming market. You aren’t just a strategist; you are a “hands-on” closer who understands the plumbing of the payments industry. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of partner acquisition—from scouting Tier-1 merchants to navigating the complexities of KYC/Compliance and ensuring a smooth “Go-Live.”
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Expansion & Strategy
- Identify and penetrate new geographic markets, selecting the optimal mix of Acquirers, Local Payment Methods (LPMs), and APMs for each region.
- Conduct deep-dive market analysis to stay ahead of PSP trends and competitor offerings.
2. End-to-End Sales & Partnership Management
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, high-level negotiations, and closing deals with Tier-1 iGaming operators.
- Negotiate complex commercial terms and legal contracts to ensure win-win partnerships.
3. Technical Onboarding & Coordination
Bridge the gap between the client and our internal teams.
- Manage the Onboarding/KYC process, ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met without friction.
- Coordinate with technical teams to oversee API integrations and product setups.
4. Portfolio Optimization & Go-Live
- Take full accountability for the “Go-Live” phase, including testing and initial volume monitoring.
- Continuously evaluate the performance of existing payment routes to maximize conversion rates for merchants.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of Business Development experience within the Payments (PSP/Acquiring) or iGaming industry. Tier-1 company background is a significant plus.
- Industry Fluency: Deep understanding of the iGaming ecosystem, including gambling licenses (MGA, Curacao, etc.) and regulatory frameworks.
- Payment Expertise: Strong knowledge of card processing, alternative payment methods (e.g., Pix, UPI, Open Banking), and the technical flow of a transaction.
- Hands-on Execution: Proven track record of "working with your hands“—you have personally sourced providers, negotiated rates, and managed integrations.
- Compliance Savvy: Familiarity with high-risk merchant onboarding and the nuances of AML/KYC requirements.
- Networking: An existing “Rolodex” of contacts within the online casino/sportsbook industry is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages relevant to emerging markets are a plus. Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian.
