Senior Customer Success Manager
TL;DR
GrowthBand runs done-for-you lead generation for mid-market B2B companies. We handle everything end-to-end: email infrastructure, deliverability, data research, copywriting, campaign supervision, LinkedIn outreach, and reporting. Clients hand us their pipeline goals - we deliver meetings.
The way we deliver is what makes this role unusual: almost everything is automated. We've built (and keep building) AI-driven systems for monitoring, qualification, enrichment, copy iteration, anomaly detection, self-enhancement and reporting.
Our team is small on purpose.
We don't scale by hiring - we scale by making the systems smarter.
We need a senior Customer Success Manager to be the operator behind every account.
You own the client relationship completely - every Slack message, every email, every call, every QBR, every renewal conversation.
Clients should know your name, trust your judgment, and come to you first.
You're also accountable for the numbers: retention, NRR, CSAT, expansion, and the delivery KPIs that matter to each client (meetings booked, reply rate, pipeline generated).
On top of that, you supervise the automated systems running each account - monitoring, enrichment, sequencing, reporting - catching what AI misses and pushing the systems to do more.
What You'll Own
Client relationships. A portfolio of mid-market B2B clients across the full post-sale lifecycle โ onboarding, ongoing delivery, QBRs, renewals. Primary point of contact across Slack, email, and calls. Retention, NRR, and CSAT are your KPIs.
Supervising the systems behind each account. Most of the work - deliverability monitoring, list building, enrichment, sequence performance, reporting โ runs through automated pipelines. You won't be doing the whole work manually. You'll be reading dashboards, sanity-checking AI output, spotting drift before it becomes a client problem, and feeding fixes back into the system.
Making the systems better. Every recurring manual task is a bug. When you find yourself doing something twice, your job is to design the automation (with our team) so it doesn't happen a third time.
You Must Have
Customer Success or Lead Generation experience.
4+ years owning B2B client portfolios in an agency, services, or SaaS company, with retention and expansion numbers you can talk about.
Real Outbound expertise - non-negotiable.
Hands-on time inside cold email and LinkedIn outreach. You know how deliverability works (domains, mailboxes, warm-up, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, placement), the tooling landscape (Instantly / Smartlead / lemlist / HeyReach / Expandi / Clay / Apollo and similar), and what good ICP, list, and copy look like.
If you've never been close to live campaigns, this role isn't for you.
Deep AI fluency - also non-negotiable.
You use AI daily and you've built things. You can show us automations you've designed in Claude / Claude Code / n8n / Codex (or similar), explain what they replaced, and talk credibly about prompting, context, and where AI breaks.
Default question in your head: "can the system do this instead of me?"
Strong written and spoken English (C1+). 80% of clients are English-speaking.
