Role overview
We’re looking for a Video Maker who can create fast, engaging short-form videos that hold attention and clearly deliver the message. You’ll own the editing process from idea and footage selection to final cuts, working closely with the marketing team to produce content for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, ads, and social campaigns. This role exists to help us turn strong ideas into videos that people actually watch, understand, and act on.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Edit short-form videos with strong pacing, clear hooks, clean rhythm, and high retention in mind
- Build videos around the message and story, not just around music, effects, or nice-looking visuals
- Source and select relevant materials independently, including B-roll, stock footage, references, memes, and AI-generated visuals
- Add captions, subtitles, zooms, transitions, highlights, and basic motion graphics where they improve clarity and engagement
- Create strong first 3-5 seconds for videos so the audience understands why they should keep watching
- Work closely with SMM, marketing, and business stakeholders to turn briefs, ideas, and feedback into final videos
- Iterate quickly based on feedback and deliver polished edits with a fast turnaround
✅ What Makes You a Strong Fit:
- 3+ years of experience as a video editor, video maker, or similar role, with a strong portfolio of short-form content
- Strong understanding of dynamic editing, including pacing, hooks, rhythm, visual logic, and audience retention
- Experience creating content for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, paid ads, or other social-first formats
- Ability to choose visuals based on meaning, context, and message - not only aesthetics
- Confidence working independently, sourcing materials, solving creative problems, and improving edits without waiting for step-by-step instructions
- Experience with captions, subtitles, basic motion graphics, zooms, transitions, and visual highlights
- Advanced English for understanding briefs, working with feedback, communicating with the team, and creating content for an English-speaking audience
➕ Bonus if you have:
- Experience using AI tools to generate, improve, or source visual materials
- Experience with HeyGen or similar AI video tools
- Ukrainian or Russian language skills
- Experience working with startup marketing teams or fast-moving social media teams
- Experience creating videos for lead generation, sales, or performance marketing
