Client Growth Manager

We’re looking for someone who can turn existing client relationships into new business opportunities.

 

In this role, you won’t rely on a ready-made pipeline or wait for requests to come in. Your focus will be on understanding what is happening inside active accounts, speaking with engineering and delivery teams, spotting growth signals early, and converting them into signed opportunities.

 

You’ll work at the intersection of client management, sales, and delivery — helping clients get the right support while increasing revenue from long-term partnerships.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Own a portfolio of current clients and keep regular communication with them
  • Run discovery conversations with engineers to understand changing business needs, hiring plans, and possible areas for expansion
  • Work closely with engineers, PMs, and delivery teams to notice early signals for upsell or team growth
  • Identify opportunities for additional developers, team extension, or related services
  • Build a clear next step for each opportunity and move it toward agreement or contract
  • React quickly when clients show interest or request additional support
  • Help improve client retention and account value through timely, relevant proposals
  • Keep communication focused, structured, and efficient without unnecessary delays

     

What background fits this role:

  • Experience in B2B sales, account management, client success, or business development
  • Understanding of IT outstaffing, staffing, or other service-based business models
  • Strong discovery skills and the ability to uncover real client needs behind initial requests
  • Confidence in leading client conversations and managing priorities
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make decisions without constant guidance
  • Experience working in fast-moving environments where processes may need to be improved or built along the way
  • Ability to balance client expectations, business goals, and internal team context

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience creating tailored upsell or account growth strategies
  • Ability to use account data, client context, and internal signals to plan expansion opportunities
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar for research, communication, or process optimization
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Make, n8n, or similar platforms
  • Experience with company research, data enrichment, or lead/account intelligence tools
