Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)
Binariks is looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) to embed directly within one of the client's existing product teams. You will work side by side with in-house engineers, designers, QA specialists, and product managers to ship features that bring research-grade digital health products into the hands of patients, clinicians, and study participants.
Our client develops secure, standards-compliant digital health solutions that empower researchers and public health institutions to advance evidence-based medicine. The company builds scalable research infrastructures, supports international standards such as FHIR, OMOP, and CDISC, and collaborates with some of the world’s leading clinical institutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a mobile or frontend engineer, with at least 2+ years hands-on with React Native in production
Proven experience shipping native or cross-platform mobile apps on Android (iOS experience is a strong plus)
Solid command of TypeScript / JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, plus the React ecosystem (hooks, modern state management, navigation libraries)
Experience integrating native modules and bridging to platform APIs; familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy or device/wearable SDKs is highly desirable
Strong focus on performance, semantic markup, accessibility, and security
Experience with mobile testing (unit, component, end-to-end) and CI/CD pipelines for mobile releases (Fastlane, App Store / Play Store distribution)
Experience in Healthcare projects (knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA)
Professional written and spoken English
Your Responsibilities:
Build and ship state-of-the-art mobile features in React Native — writing accessible, performant, maintainable, and well-tested code following clean-code principles
Develop, test, and review code; contribute to mobile architecture, navigation, state management, and offline-first patterns
Implement modules that connect to wearable sensors and devices via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and via the SDKs of mobile phones, smart watches, and other wearables
Contribute to the existing Wear OS companion app (Kotlin) where collaboration with the mobile team requires it
Apply strong UI craftsmanship to deliver digital health products and prototypes that meet our quality and accessibility standards
Engage with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA) when handling patient or study data on the device
Collaborate closely with UX Design, Backend Engineering, QA, and Product Management as part of an integrated team
Would be a plus
Experience with Kotlin and Wear OS / Android Wearable APIs
Exposure to digital health, clinical research, or regulated environments
Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, OMOP) and patient-data privacy obligations
Experience working in a staff-augmentation or embedded-consultant model
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Spoken and written German
