Senior Power BI Functional Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Consultant to join us for a client project. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, communicate confidently with stakeholders, and take ownership of analytics and reporting solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards end-to-end
• Translate business questions into KPIs, metrics, and analytical views
• Work with existing semantic models and contribute to their improvement and optimisation
• Develop and maintain DAX measures, including time intelligence scenarios
• Transform and prepare data using Power Query
• Create interactive reporting experiences using features such as Smart Narratives, Q&A, and Decomposition Tree
• Utilise Copilot for Power BI to support report development and improve data exploration
• Validate data, metrics, and insights with business stakeholders
• Ensure data accuracy, usability, security, and performance of reporting solutions
• Support users in understanding and adopting Power BI reports
• Improve and maintain existing analytics solutions
• Document metrics, assumptions, report logic, and data definitions
• Collaborate with teams working with CRM systems, operational platforms, and business applications
• Contribute to reporting scenarios related to operational and network operations concepts where relevant

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience working with Power BI
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Experience building modern dashboards and analytical solutions in Power BI
• Good understanding of semantic model authoring, data modeling concepts, and analytical best practices
• Confident use of DAX for measures and common analytical scenarios
• Practical experience with Power Query and data transformations
• Solid SQL skills for querying, troubleshooting, and validating data
• Understanding of Row-Level Security and basic data access concepts
• Familiarity with Copilot for Power BI and modern self-service analytics capabilities
• Ability to work independently on client-facing tasks
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Experience with Dynamics 365 or Dataverse
• Experience working with shared semantic models
• Understanding of data quality and reporting standards
• Experience designing self-service reporting experiences for business users
