Lead Generation Specialist (LinkedIn)
About WeSoftYou
At WeSoftYou, we build custom digital products for startups and enterprises across AI, EdTech, Fintech, and Web3. From MVPs to complex platforms, we help clients go from idea to launch — fast, smart, and with real impact.
About the Role
We are looking for a LinkedIn Outbound Specialist to build and run our LinkedIn-driven lead generation channel, targeting Enterprise AI companies in the United States.
You own the top of the funnel: ICP targeting, prospect research, outbound sequences, and first-touch qualification. Your primary metric is qualified meetings booked — discovery calls handed off to a closer with enough context to move the deal forward.
This is not a closing role. This is not a content or brand-building role. This is not a reactive SDR waiting for inbound. This is an outbound machine role — you build the pipe, qualify what comes in, and hand off when the signal is right.
What You’ll Do
1. ICP Targeting & Prospect List Building
- Define and segment the Ideal Customer Profile for Enterprise AI US: company stage, vertical, buyer persona, trigger events (funding rounds, new hires, product launches)
- Build and maintain target account lists in LinkedIn Sales Navigator using Boolean filters and account tiers (Tier 1 / Tier 2 / cold)
- Enrich contacts beyond surface data: funding events, tech stack signals, hiring patterns, leadership changes
- Own the research layer end to end — Apollo for contact data, Clay for enrichment workflows, Perplexity and Claude for account-level context
- Treat the prospect list as a living asset: clean, tiered, updated weekly
2. Outbound Sequence Design & A/B Testing
- Design and run multi-touch outbound sequences across LinkedIn and email
- Write messaging that sounds like a human, not a template: hooks specific to vertical, stage, and trigger event — no automation-speak
- Run structured A/B tests; track connection accept rate, reply rate, positive reply rate, and meeting booked rate by sequence step
- Ship sequence v2 every 2–4 weeks based on data, not instinct
3. First-Touch Qualification
- Handle all replies from outbound sequences: follow up, answer questions, overcome first objections
- Qualify incoming interest against defined ICP criteria: budget signals, decision authority, project fit, timeline
- Book discovery calls and prep a qualification brief for the closer: who the prospect is, what triggered their interest, what they said about budget and scope
- Own the quality of what gets handed off — a bad meeting is worse than no meeting
4. CRM & Pipeline Discipline (Pipedrive)
- Create and maintain lead records from the moment a prospect replies
- Log key context: sequence used, reply trigger, qualification signal, next step
- Keep handoff data clean so the closer walks into every call with full context
- Track funnel conversion at each step: connection → reply → positive reply → meeting booked → SQL
5. Channel Performance & Iteration
- Run a weekly self-audit: where is the funnel leaking, which segment is converting, which sequence is dying
- Propose experiments with a defined hypothesis and success metric — not “let’s try something different”
- Treat your AI-assisted research and enrichment workflows as a product: versioned, documented, improvable
Share what’s working with the Upwork Sales team; steal what works across directions.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of LinkedIn outbound experience targeting the US market
- Proven track record of booking qualified meetings, not just sending volume: you can show reply rates, meeting rates, and what you changed when they dropped
- Experience working with Enterprise buyer personas: VP+, CTO, Head of Product at companies 100 —1000+ employees
- Native-level written English — your messages must be indistinguishable from a US-based SDR’s;
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and at least one sequencing tool (HeyReach, Lemlist, or similar)
AI Fluency: Capable level minimum — you use AI regularly in your research, personalization, or enrichment workflow with a measurable before/after. You’ll walk us through a specific example in the interview.
