BI Analyst / Reports Engineer

Since 2001, FutureLog has been creating and developing digital procure-to-pay solutions for the hospitality and gastronomy industries.  We are a world-class procurement management platform serving over 10,000 clients across 20+ countries, delivering near real-time reporting with complex data models and advanced permission structures. 
To strengthen our analytics and reporting capabilities, we are looking for a BI Analyst / Reports Engineer who will own the reporting layer of our platform — from identifying business needs to delivering production-ready dashboards and report prototypes. 

This role sits at the intersection of data, product, and operations. You will work closely with product managers, operations teams, and engineers to turn data into actionable insights and well-crafted reports. 

About the Role 

This is not a deep data engineering position. We already have strong SQL and Azure expertise in-house. What we are missing is someone who can own the analytics and reporting function — someone who understands what stakeholders need, can prototype quickly, and communicates clearly across technical and non-technical audiences. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Own end-to-end reporting: gather requirements, design, build, and iterate on dashboards and reports 
• Develop reporting PoCs and MVPs to validate ideas quickly before investing in full solutions 
• Communicate regularly with product managers and operations teams to understand business needs and priorities 
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure data availability, accuracy, and pipeline alignment 
• Maintain and improve existing reports for clarity, usability, and performance 
• Translate business questions into SQL queries and visual reports 
• Manage reporting-related tasks and requests via Jira, keeping stakeholders informed on progress and delivery timelines 
• Contribute to defining reporting standards, templates, and best practices across the organization 

Must-Have Skills & Experience 

• 2–4 years of experience in a BI analyst, reporting, or similar analytics role 
• Strong communication skills — ability to explain data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
• Fluent English (written and verbal) — this is essential for daily cross-team collaboration 
• SQL proficiency at an analyst level — comfortable writing queries, joins, aggregations; deep database engineering knowledge is not required 
• Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Google Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar 
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage your own reporting backlog 
• Experience working with product or operations teams in an agile environment 

Nice to Have 

• Power BI experience (our current primary reporting platform) 
• Familiarity with Azure data services or cloud-based data platforms 
• Experience with DAX, Power Query, or similar BI-specific languages 
• Understanding of data modeling 
• Experience in SaaS or enterprise platform environments 
• Exposure to ETL concepts and data pipeline basics (enough to collaborate with engineers, not to build them)
