Project Manager
AVELaunch Books is a publishing and production studio creating non-fiction books and expert content for entrepreneurs, coaches, consultants, and business leaders from Ukraine and international markets.
We help experts turn their knowledge and experience into books that work as tools for influence, trust, positioning, and business growth.
We are looking for a Project Manager who can take full ownership of end-to-end delivery of book projects: from concept and planning to final launch. This role is for someone who brings structure, predictability, transparent communication, and a strong “no surprises” approach to creative production.
What you’ll do:
- Manage a portfolio of book projects at different stages.
- Plan project stages, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams: authors, writers, editors, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Control scope, prevent scope creep, and manage change requests.
- Build and maintain project budgets, track planned vs. actual costs, and forecast risks.
- Work with delivery metrics: timelines, cycle time, workload, team health, project progress.
- Proactively identify risks, maintain a risk register, and prepare response plans.
- Manage expectations of stakeholders: founders, clients-authors, internal teams, and partners.
- Ensure clear status updates, documented decisions, next steps, and transparent reporting.
Help improve delivery processes and strengthen project management culture inside the company.
What we expect from you:
- 3+ years of hands-on project management experience.
- 10+ years of overall professional experience will be a strong advantage.
- Experience managing several projects in parallel.
- Experience working with teams of 5–20+ people, including contractors or distributed teams.
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder management, and delivery metrics.
- Practical experience with Agile, Kanban, Scrum, or hybrid project management approaches.
- Ability to build dashboards, reports, and simple financial/project tracking models.
- Confident use of ClickUp, Asana, Notion, Trello, or similar tools.
- Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills.
- Fluent Ukrainian.
English level B2+.
Nice to have:
- Experience in publishing, media, education, content production, creative industries, or expert-led products.
- Experience with projects in business strategy, entrepreneurship, marketing, self-help, personal development, health & wellness.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, SAFe, MBA, or other relevant certifications.
- Experience working with international or distributed teams.
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, tl;dv, etc.
Soft skills we value:
- Ownership and responsibility for the result.
- Proactivity and ability to work with uncertainty.
- Systemic thinking and strong prioritization.
- Clear communication without hidden problems.
- Ability to negotiate, challenge decisions constructively, and protect project boundaries.
- Flexibility: we are a growing company, so processes are still evolving and priorities may change.
Mature attitude toward feedback and teamwork.
What we offer:
- Full-time remote work.
- Flexible Monday–Friday schedule.
- Fixed salary + KPI-based bonus.
- 3-month trial period.
- 21 vacation days + 1 extra day off for your birthday.
- Sick leave.
- Direct impact on how project delivery processes are built in the company.
Work with meaningful expert content and non-fiction book projects.
Hiring process:
- CV review + short intro video about yourself.
- Prescreen interview with the recruiter.
- Test task.
- Final interview with the functional manager.
Offer and onboarding.
If you want to build clear, predictable delivery processes inside creative production, we’d be glad to meet you.
