The challenge you're stepping into:

 

User Acquisition at Headway runs on millions of dollars in monthly budgets, direct partnerships with Meta, Google, and TikTok, and a technical depth that goes well beyond campaign management – Signals Engineering, a focus on AI and automation, and working with Advanced Analytics such as predicted user level value are part of how we think about growth here.

 

But the most exciting work right now isn't in what's already running – it's in what no one has built yet. AI and automation in UA are still individual experiments. That can change with you. TikTok and Applovin are on the roadmap and ready to move. And if you see something beyond what's already defined – you'll have the room to go after it, because the scope of this role is partly yours to write.

 

The product and team you will be working with:

 

Headway is our flagship app, offering summaries of nonfiction bestsellers, daily insights, and gamified challenges. Headway is the world’s most downloaded book summary app and has been featured as App of the Day in over 30 countries, including the US, the UK, and Canada.

 

You'll join a UA team of 6 – people who care deeply about the work, support each other through the hard days, and celebrate wins together. We're also part of Headway Inc's broader marketing community – 100+ people across all products – where you'll always find someone to think through a challenge with, learn from, or be inspired by.

What you will do:

 

  • Own and scale user acquisition across Meta, and lead expansion into TikTok and Applovin.
  • Lead Signals Engineering initiatives.
  • Drive AI and automation integration into UA processes – from building tooling to defining the team's approach.
  • Collaborate with product, product marketing, and content teams on cross-functional growth initiatives.
  • Analyze performance data, identify insights, and translate them into decisions and process improvements.
  • Mentor and develop UA specialists within the team.
  • Build and maintain automations and scripts to streamline campaign management and optimization.

     

What you need to join us:

 

  • 3+ years in User Acquisition with proven experience in Meta Ads at scale.
  • Deep understanding of how the auction works – not just campaign management, but what drives delivery and efficiency.
  • Experience with Signals Engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to find causal relationships in data.
  • Experience building or improving UA processes and account structure.
  • Hands-on experience with automations or AI tools in a marketing context.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead through influence.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with Google Ads, TikTok Ads, or Applovin.
  • Alignment with the values of our team (SELECT).

Working schedule

This is a full-time position with a hybrid remote option. It means that you can decide for yourself: whether you want to work from the office, remotely, or combine these options.
