Desktop / Full Stack Engineer (Gaming)

Fulcrum is looking for a Desktop / Full Stack Engineer to join our team ( full-time, remote).

Project Overview

We are building an AI Gaming Assistant platform (desktop overlay + web) that provides real-time, contextual guidance to players during gameplay.
The product is currently at the discovery → MVP stage, focused on developing core functionality such as game-state capture and the AI guidance loop.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a desktop/overlay solution for in-game user experience
• Build fullstack functionality (frontend + backend)
• Integrate with games via save files, APIs, mods, and other data sources
• Work with AI features (RAG, contextual hints, intelligent responses
• Contribute to MVP development and rapid hypothesis validation
  
  Requirements
• Experience in gaming / gamedev / modding
• Strong fullstack development experience TypeScript / JavaScript
• Experience with desktop applications / overlays or complex integrations
• Solid understanding of data handling (parsing, APIs, data processing)
• Experience with or strong interest in AI / LLM solutions
• Experience building native Windows applications
• Build full stack functionality (backend — must have, frontend — optional)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with uncertainty
• Hands-on gaming experience and understanding of in-game mechanics
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher
   

Nice to Have

• Experience building native Windows applications
• Experience with Electron
• Familiarity with Overwolf or other overlay tooling
• Hands-on experience with game modding through personal projects
