Senior Accountant / Accounting Lead

Scalivo builds dedicated operations and finance teams for European e-commerce and SaaS companies. Our teams work as internal departments, not external service providers.

For one of our key clients — a Berlin-based company, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to work directly with the client’s CFO. This is a role with high ownership, where you will stabilize the accounting setup and potentially grow into a Team Lead role.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations.
• Work in Odoo (or similar ERP systems like SAP, NetSuite, DATEV).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage bookkeeping, general ledger, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with German and EU requirements.
• Improve and document accounting processes.

• Support onboarding and mentoring of additional accountants as the team grows.

   

What we expect from you:

• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong English (Upper-Intermediate/Advanced) — daily working language.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, etc.).
• Solid understanding of closing and reporting processes.
• Experience working with German or international companies.

• High level of reliability and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
