Middle+/Senior Data Scientist (Anti-Fraud) for Citrus Systems

Hard skills requirements (including years):

• Strong experience in Data Science / Machine Learning
• Experience in fraud detection systems — highly preferred
• Ability to transition rule-based systems to ML/predictive models
• Experience with near real-time data processing
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and ML algorithms
• Python (preferred stack, final decision left to the DS)
• SQL and database proficiency
• Ability to independently scope a data environment and define technical approach

Soft skills requirements:

• Ability to independently lead a project end-to-end
• Strong communication skills (stakeholder alignment required)
• Self-driven, proactive, consultative mindset

Office/Remote: Remote

Project tasks:

• Scope existing rule-based fraud detection system (16 static flag types) and define technical approach
• Propose and implement ML stack and architecture
• Evolve system into dynamic, predictive, learning-based fraud detection model
• Work toward near real-time fraud processing as the project scales
• Work as part of 2-person AI team with full ownership of the anti-fraud project
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment

English level: Upper-Intermediate
