Entry-Level Business Analyst / QA Specialist
Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role is a great opportunity for someone who has completed a QA Academy, QA training program, or similar practical course and is ready to start their professional career.
No prior commercial experience is required, but candidates should have a basic understanding of QA processes, testing web applications, writing test cases, and documenting requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who can learn quickly, communicate clearly, organize information, and help ensure high-quality delivery of web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Help transform unclear or incomplete information into structured documentation
- Create user stories, process flows, diagrams, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and team members to clarify requirements
- Create and maintain test cases and test scenarios based on requirements
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing of web applications
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Verify that delivered features meet business and technical requirements
- Maintain clear and consistent documentation across all deliverables
- Learn and follow team processes, tools, and quality standards
Requirements
- Completed QA Academy, QA bootcamp, QA training program, or equivalent hands-on QA course
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes
- Ability to write test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports
- Basic understanding of web applications and how users interact with them
- Interest in business analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information clearly
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and improve through feedback
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools
Nice to Have
- Practice testing web applications during QA Academy or training projects
- Experience creating documentation, user stories, or acceptance criteria
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum processes
- Exposure to HR, recruiting, or business operations systems
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, or backend systems
- Portfolio, training project, or sample test documentation
Experience Level
This is an entry-level role. We welcome candidates with no prior commercial experience, provided they have completed QA Academy or similar QA training and can demonstrate basic hands-on skills in software testing, documentation, and analytical thinking.
Candidates with internship, freelance, training project, or personal project experience are also encouraged to apply.
