Lead Frontend Shopify Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead Frontend Shopify Engineer to drive the technical vision, architecture, and front-end development for one of our high-velocity enterprise client accounts.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and maintain high-quality, production-ready Shopify front-end code (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS) and reusable UI components.
• Lead front-end development workstreams in an Agile environment — planning, estimations, stand-ups, mentoring junior engineers.
• Collaborate closely with design, marketing, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, integrated solutions.
• Implement integrations with marketing tools, platform APIs, and Shopify Apps.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, accessibility improvements, and performance optimization.
• Own the entire development lifecycle — from concept and architecture to launch, scaling, and ongoing maintenance.

• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, proactively addressing issues and risks.

   

What You Should Have:

• Strong Shopify Front-End Expertise: Experience with Shopify themes and custom storefronts (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Component-Based Architecture: Building reusable components and following modern front-end patterns.
• Agile Experience: Hands-on experience with Scrum/Kanban, planning and estimations.
• Technical Leadership: Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.
• API & App Integrations: Experience with third-party APIs, marketing tools, Shopify Apps.
• Code Quality Mindset: Focus on clean code, testing, and best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Improving Core Web Vitals, page speed, and UX.
• Accessibility (WCAG): Building inclusive and accessible interfaces.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with designers, marketers, PMs, engineers.
• End-to-End Ownership: From idea → delivery → maintenance → scaling.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Translating complex requirements into technical solutions.
• Clear Communication: Explaining concepts to technical & business stakeholders.

• Continuous Learning: Staying updated with Shopify ecosystem and trends.
