Mobile Solution Architect Offline

We are looking for a Mobile Solution Architect who will take responsibility for the architectural strategy of our mobile platform. This role is for an engineer who has outgrown the Feature Lead level and wants to shape how a product with over 450 million users is built, where video streaming is at the core of the system.

Technical Context and Challenges:

• Scale & Performance: Optimizing startup time, rendering, and resource consumption (battery, network) for an app that works with real-time video.
• Architecture Evolution: Designing and maintaining a scalable architecture for Android (primary focus) and iOS. Implementing standards for state management, dependency management, and navigation.
• Ecosystem Thinking: Deep integration of the mobile client with the backend microservices architecture. Working with complex UI/UX flows and design systems.
• Quality Gates: Building reliable CI/CD pipelines for mobile releases and ensuring a high rate of crash-free sessions across a wide range of devices.

Required stack and experience:

• Experience: 8–10+ years in software development, with a focus on the architecture of high-load mobile applications.
• Native Mastery (Android): Deep expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Understanding of Android’s internal mechanisms (threading, memory management, lifecycle).
• System Design: Experience designing client-server architectures and an understanding of how a mobile app interacts with distributed systems.
• Plus: Experience with iOS (Swift, SwiftUI), knowledge of backend (microservices, REST), and expertise in mobile security (certificate pinning, auth).
