Data Engineer\ Data Analyst

 We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer\ Data Analyst to join a global IT FinTech holding (PSP) that provides payment and fintech SaaS solutions focused on high-risk industries, with high transaction approval rates. The company provides access to a wide range of international payment methods, works with multiple jurisdictions, and supports merchants across global markets.

The  products -  Fintech  Saas solutions and platforms   (B2B)

Product Team:   Product Owner, Business Analyst, and technical cross-team

Requirements:            

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in fintech/payments/banking and other
• Strong SQL skills (complex queries, optimization)
• Hands-on experience with relational/analytical databases (e.g.,PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, BigQuery)
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Airbyte, Airflow, or similar tools
• Practical experience with Python for analytics (pandas, numpy)
• Knowledge of data modeling and data storage concepts (DWH)
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration (CI) in data projects
• Experience working with transactional/financial data
• Understanding of data pipeline orchestration and workflow management
• Understanding of A/B testing and basic statistics
• Ability to work with large datasets and build analytical solutions
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insights to non-technical stakeholders 
• English - B1

Nice to have:

• Experience as a Data Analyst 
• Hands-on experience with Looker (preferred) or other BI tools
• Understanding of data pipeline design and optimization best practices
• Experience in fintech / PSP / acquiring 
• Experience in fraud analytics
• Experience with Kafka or streaming systems
• Understanding of PCI DSS / GDPR

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a DWH for transactional data
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines (dbt / Airflow / scripts)
• Design and maintain data models (fact/dimension tables)
• Ensure data quality, monitoring, and performance optimization
• Integrate data from multiple sources (PSPs, APIs, internal systems)
• Analyze key business metrics (approval/decline rates, chargebacks, refunds, PSP performance)
• Build and maintain dashboards (Metabase / Tableau or similar tools)
• Run and analyze A/B tests and product experiments
• Deliver actionable insights for product and leadership teams
• Analyze payment routing efficiency
• Identify fraud patterns (velocity, geo, BIN analysis)
• Propose improvements to routing logic
• Translate business requirements into data solutions
• Communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders
