PAR Retail develops applications for retailers that replace plastic client cards, allow to pay wares and services with a mobile phone or a smart-watch. These applications help our customers gain even more loyal audience, retain it and build long-term relationships.
We have our own product in this segment as well as provide services in applications development and support.
Our customers are Murphy USA, CEFCO, Dave and Busterβs and others.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Business Analyst, Product Owner experience with iOS/Android mobile apps, and/or web applications;
- Good understanding of agile (Scrum/Kanban) development methodologies;
- Experience managing and working with clients;
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills;
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and facilitation skills;
- Be a detail-oriented self-starter, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision;
- The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously;
- Be passionate about digital products and mobile technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the product team to review and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall business goals and objectives;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand market trends, customer needs, and business priorities;
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the highest-priority features and improvements based on business value;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to groom the backlog and refine user stories, ensuring they are well-defined and ready for development;
- Participate in release planning activities, working closely with the Release Manager and Development Team to plan and prioritise the product roadmap;
- Define release goals and objectives, and communicate them effectively to the team and stakeholders;
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, feedback, and insights to inform product decisions;
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and understanding;
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure that the product meets user needs and delivers a positive user experience;
- Advocate for user-centric design principles and incorporate user feedback into product decisions;
- Act as the Product Owner on Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective;
- Collaborate with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure a smooth and efficient development process;
- Identify and mitigate risks related to product development and delivery;
- Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact the successful delivery of the product;
- Maintain clear and concise documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation;
- Communicate product updates, progress, and changes to stakeholders on a regular basis;
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging feedback and learning from both successes and failures;
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance the product development process.
