Lead Accountant

Our partner is an international fintech company building and scaling a payment system for businesses of any size. Their clients include online stores, marketplaces, banks, insurance companies, and nonprofits — any organization running payment operations online. Main Responsibilities

– Maintain full accounting records in compliance with the legislation of Kazakhstan
– Record transactions involving financial instruments, assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses
– Control accounting entries and correct errors
– Prepare and submit financial statements under both IFRS and Kazakhstani national standards (NFRS)
– Produce annual, quarterly, and monthly financial reports for tax and regulatory authorities
– Calculate and process tax payments (VAT, CIT, PIT, social tax, and others)
– Maintain tax records and prepare tax filings in accordance with Kazakhstani tax law
– Liaise with tax authorities during audits; prepare responses and clarifications on tax matters
– Track and control cash inflows and outflows; manage liquidity
– Process domestic and international payments
– Conduct reconciliations and settlements between merchants
– Prepare e-money reporting
 

Mandatory Requirements

– Must have: 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the Fintech industry
– Strong knowledge of Kazakhstani accounting and tax legislation, IFRS
