Payments Partnerships Manager (PSP / EMI / Banking Relationships) $$$
On behalf of our client, a fast-growing, international fintech company working with complex and high-risk merchants, we are looking for a Payments Partnerships Manager to take ownership of payment provider relationships and merchant onboarding strategy.
This is a hands-on, commercially aware role, ideal for someone who has already worked directly with PSPs, EMIs, or banks and understands how to get accounts approved, not just submit applications.
If you know how to navigate onboarding friction, speak the language of compliance teams, and match merchants with the right providers, this role is built for you.
What You’ll Own:
- End-to-end onboarding with PSPs, EMIs, banks, and acquirers, from application to approval
- Build and manage long-term relationships with payment providers and financial institutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to merchants, guiding them through complex onboarding processes
- Prepare, review, and optimize KYB packages, onboarding files, and supporting documentation
- Increase approval rates by aligning merchant profiles with the right PSPs/EMIs
- Identify and onboard new payment partners across multiple jurisdictions
- Handle complex and high-risk cases, finding solutions where others fail
- Maintain structured tracking via CRM and internal systems
Who This Role Is For:
We are specifically looking for candidates who have:
- Proven, hands-on experience working with PSPs, EMIs, or banks (not just theoretical knowledge)
- Direct involvement in merchant onboarding, account opening, or payment solution setup
- Strong understanding of how payment providers assess risk and approve/reject applications
- Familiarity with SEPA, SWIFT, acquiring, and payment flows
- Ability to manage multiple onboarding cases in parallel without losing attention to detail
- Confidence in communicating with both clients and financial institutions
Strong Advantage If You Have
- Experience with high-risk industries (Crypto, iGaming, Fintech etc.)
- Knowledge of AML/KYC, compliance frameworks, or corporate structuring
- Existing network of PSPs, EMIs, or banking contacts
- Background in fintech consulting, onboarding teams, or payment operations
What You’ll Get
- 100% Remote — work from anywhere
- Work with international clients and leading payment providers
- Exposure to complex, cross-border payment ecosystems
- A role with real ownership and decision-making power
- Clear growth path into Head of Payments / Partnerships roles
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience (performance-driven environment)
