Business Development Manager
Vilmate is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities and building long-term client relationships.
Vilmate is an over 120-strong, close-knit, and highly professional software development team based out of Kharkiv and Kyiv. We have been engaged in delivering bespoke software to North American and Western European clients since 2012 and are equally experienced in web and mobile development.
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth and expand our international client portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term partnerships, and closing deals with companies seeking high-quality software development services.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets (US, UK, EU, etc.).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (CTOs, Heads of Engineering, Founders, etc.).
- Manage the full sales cycle: from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and deal closure.
- Identify, approach, and acquire new B2B clients.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies.
- Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate contracts.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and delivery teams to align growth strategies.
- Represent the company at online/offline industry events when required.
- Track sales performance and maintain accurate CRM records.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Business Development or B2B Sales (preferably in IT outsourcing or software development).
- Proven track record of selling IT services or software solutions to the US and/or EU markets.
- Understanding of the Northern European business culture and sales cycle.
- Experience in outsourcing / outstaffing / custom software development sales.
- English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher (fluent communication required).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and build processes from scratch.
