Senior Full Stack Developer

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer for an Israeli deep tech company building a cloud-native platform for monitoring critical infrastructure at scale. The product helps utilities, energy companies, and infrastructure operators detect threats, anomalies, and operational events in real time across thousands of kilometers of pipelines, power lines, railways, and perimeter assets.

The platform processes continuous streams of acoustic sensor data from distributed fiber optic networks, runs machine learning classification on top of it, and delivers actionable alerts through a smart command and control interface. It integrates with SCADA systems, Digital Twins, and other enterprise control environments. The frontend is the primary window into all of this - maps, dashboards, real-time alerts, and operational workflows that field teams and enterprise clients rely on daily.

The system is cloud-native, built around Next.js and NestJS in TypeScript, running on AWS with Kubernetes and Docker. The product is live, used by real enterprise customers across multiple industries and geographies, and continues to grow in scope and scale.

In this role you will work across the full stack, owning features end-to-end from architecture through production. You will collaborate closely with product, R&D, and domain experts to build interfaces and services that make complex sensor data understandable and actionable.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable, high-performance web applications end-to-end

- Architect backend services and APIs using NestJS

- Build modern, responsive frontend applications with Next.js

- Leverage modern AI tools and workflows to increase development velocity and code quality

- Be part of complex technical discussions with the ability to contribute a major part to the discussion and decisions

- Own features from concept to production

- Optimize performance, reliability, and security across the stack

- Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices

Tech Stack

- Full stack: Next.js, NestJS (TypeScript)

- System design: Chakra UI

- Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines

- Database: SQL / NoSQL (depending on service)

- Cloud: AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, etc.)

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer

- Proven experience with relevant technologies and frameworks

- Strong understanding of system design (experience with Chakra UI is an advantage), scalability, and cloud architecture

- Solid experience working with AWS in production environments

- Fluent in English and strong communication skills

- Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments

- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes

AI & Modern Engineering Expectations

Candidates must be proficient and up to date with the latest AI advancements, actively using AI-powered development tools (like Claude Code, Code Rabbit, or similar) to accelerate development, enhance code quality, and innovate product features where AI adds user value.

Nice to Have

- Experience designing and developing microservices architecture

- Experience with Python and Dash

- Background in performance optimization and distributed systems
