Senior Game Economy / Monetization Designer (F2P mobile)
We are building ChestHunt, a real-world AR treasure hunting mobile game where players explore cities, collect keys, open chests, and earn rewards.
We are looking for a Game Economy Designer to design and balance the full in-game economy and monetization systems.
This is a part-time remote role.
Responsibilities
Design full virtual economy system:
- Keys (gold / silver / sapphire)
- Chests & rewards
- Crafting systems
- Consumable items
- Define reward probabilities and drop tables
- Calculate expected value of chests and keys
- Design currency sinks and inflation control
- Balance free-to-play vs paying player experience
- Model monetization loops and retention mechanics
- Build economy simulations (Excel / Google Sheets / Python)
- Optimize progression curve
- Work closely with product & game design team
- Prepare economy documentation and balancing reports
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in game economy / monetization design
- Experience working on F2P mobile games
Strong understanding of:
- Loot box / gacha mechanics
- Virtual currencies
- Player progression systems
- Retention & monetization loops
- Strong analytical & mathematical skills
- Experience building economy simulations
Nice to have
- Experience with AR / location-based games
- Experience with crafting systems
- Experience in social casino / mobile RPG
- Python or advanced Excel skills
- English B2+ would be a plus, but not obligatory
