Senior Game Economy / Monetization Designer (F2P mobile)

We are building ChestHunt, a real-world AR treasure hunting mobile game where players explore cities, collect keys, open chests, and earn rewards.

 

We are looking for a Game Economy Designer to design and balance the full in-game economy and monetization systems.

 

This is a part-time remote role.
 

Responsibilities

 

  • Design full virtual economy system:

     

    • Keys (gold / silver / sapphire)
    • Chests & rewards
    • Crafting systems
    • Consumable items

     

  • Define reward probabilities and drop tables
  • Calculate expected value of chests and keys
  • Design currency sinks and inflation control
  • Balance free-to-play vs paying player experience
  • Model monetization loops and retention mechanics
  • Build economy simulations (Excel / Google Sheets / Python)
  • Optimize progression curve
  • Work closely with product & game design team
  • Prepare economy documentation and balancing reports

 

Requirements

 

  • 3+ years experience in game economy / monetization design
  • Experience working on F2P mobile games
  • Strong understanding of:

     

    • Loot box / gacha mechanics
    • Virtual currencies
    • Player progression systems
    • Retention & monetization loops

     

  • Strong analytical & mathematical skills
  • Experience building economy simulations

 

Nice to have

 

  • Experience with AR / location-based games
  • Experience with crafting systems
  • Experience in social casino / mobile RPG
  • Python or advanced Excel skills
  • English B2+ would be a plus, but not obligatory
